While this might be old news to some of you, those of us who use Google Calendar outside of the standard web browser view may not have noticed the addition of tasks.

Tasks in Calendar build off a labs project for Gmail. It allows you to create a list of tasks in a pane to the right of your calendar in one of two ways. First you can click on a date and create a new task in the normal popup window reserved for events. Secondly, you can just start typing into the tasks pane without setting a date, a sort of NSA experience.

The feature is still in its infancy and would benefit from user feedback. Try it out and let the good folks at Google know what you think.
